Hey, I'm Carrie.
I am a passionate creator, plant aficionado, and amateur explorer. My journey in visual arts officially started in 2014 when I enrolled in the Graphic Design program at Portland Community College. This path sparked an interest in other forms of visual arts.
During my time in the GD Program, I picked up a camera and fell in love with Photography. You could find me at Powell's, nose deep in photography books, taking in the works of classic photographers and the history of photography. My education in design has been helpful in developing a deeper understanding of composition, color, light, and gestalt.
Eventually I developed an interest in filmmaking and I enrolled myself into the Video Production Program at Portland Community College where I've been learning and utilizing skills such as camera operating, motion graphics, video editing, audio leveling, and color correcting/grading.
Since graduating in 2016, I've been fortunate to work with Non-Government Organizations and media groups including Hard to Port, On The Wild Side, Sea Shepherd USA, Balestra Media, and Burning Hearts Media.
In all my work, I strive to create things that are thoughtful and interesting for myself, the client, and society as a whole.
